The 2018 AVP Africa Regional Gathering

“Post Conflict Displacement and Trauma”
Charting the path for peaceful co-existence in Africa and worldwide
AVPers from Burundi, DR Congo, Kenya, Liberia, Namibia, Nigeria, Rwanda, South Africa, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda and Zimbabwe will gather at Sina Village near Kampala, Uganda November 4-9 to celebrate the 2018 AVP Africa Regional Gathering.
Some of the goals of the gathering are:
• to discuss our core values, guiding principles, aspirations and goals for AVP
• to share knowledge, skills and insights
• to recognise our achievements
• to vision the development of AVP defining our key challenges and priorities
• to explore ways to build financial sustainability for our AVP programs
… and to laugh together as only AVPers know how!
Sessions at the gathering will include a reflection panel, country reports, using AVP in post-conflict healing, researching AVP in Africa, AVP and insurgent groups, and sharing new exercises.
