AVP is the Alternatives to Violence Project, a program of three levels of experiential workshops that offers tools and sharing to help each of us identify and address the different types of violence we all experience in our lives. The AVP Program section of this website provides detailed information on our workshops.


No. AVP does not support or deny any religious belief system.


No. AVP prides itself on being non-political. We do, however, work in many situations heavy in political tension. Our work is politically neutral and aims to assist in opening dialogue and creating spaces where persons that may be in dispute can find an equal voice.


AVP workshops are spaces where both participants and facilitators are encouraged to share from their personal lives and to work together to discover possible alternatives to real-life situations. This is achieved through a variety of interactive activities. See The AVP Program section of this website for more information on our workshops.

Sorry, at the present time we are able to only provide the website in English. We’re working on preparing the website in other languages. You may be able to find an AVP group that speaks your language among those listed at the bottom of each page on this site.


Facilitators

We’ll need to confirm you are indeed an AVP facilitator before you can access the AVP manuals. We’re working on the facilitator side (password access) of the AVP International website and there will be instructions given there soon. If your need is urgent, please send us an email through the Contact form.


Send us an email using the Contact form noting the AVP group you are trying to contact and we’ll pass your message on to an AVP facilitator in that country.
