About scholarships

Sorry, the time for submitting scholarship applications has ended. The link to the scholarship application form has been closed.

Scholarships will be awarded according to our scholarship policies (link). AVP International strongly encourages applicants to apply only for the funds actually needed to attend the Gathering and to look for additional sources of funding.

AVP groups and national organisations are encouraged to nominate one representative for their country to attend the gathering and receive a scholarship from AVP International. The country representative will be expected to share during the gathering on behalf of the AVP projects and programs in their country, including participating in decision-making. On returning home, the country representative will be expected to share with the AVP facilitators and communities in their country their experience and learnings from the gathering.

We hope that AVP facilitators will be able to work together within a country to nominate a representative together. We recognise this can be difficult for many reasons.

AVP International will review the scholarship applications received from AVP facilitators in that country and may award a scholarship based on merit.

Consult the scholarship policies here.

Scholarship applicants were notified as their material was received. If you did not hear from the scholarship team regarding your application, it was most likely not received. Questions regarding scholarships? Write to: scholarships@avp.international.

Applications have been reviewed and scholarship recipients will be notified in April/May.

About Activities Before & After the Gathering

These activities will be offered by AVP Nepal and other AVP groups in the Asia-West Pacific region. They may include visiting AVP projects to share with local facilitators or facilitating AVP Advanced and Training for Facilitators workshops.

The full details of Activities Before & After the Gathering will be available March 31.

The AVP group offering or hosting the activity will be responsible for all arrangements, including registering participants. The contact information will be provided with the details for the activity.

About Pre-Gathering Seminars

The pre-gathering seminars are an opportunity for AVP facilitators and AVP International committees to offer workshops, presentations or seminars on topics related to AVP that would require more time than is possible in a standard 90-minute session during the gathering itself.

They will be held at Park Village Hotel (the gathering venue) on Saturday, November 4 and Sunday, November 5.

The pre-gathering seminars held at Park Village Hotel will be offered at no additional program cost. You will, however, need to cover the additional nights accommodation by booking extra days when you register for the gathering.

Registration to attend pre-gathering seminars will open March 31 on this website.

Click here to complete and submit a proposal before February 20.

About the Program

Topic sessions are an opportunity for teams of facilitators to lead a 90-minute session focusing on a specific topic or subject related to AVP. These sessions are also known as ‘breakout sessions’ or ‘interest groups’. If you would like to present or lead a Topic Session, click here to complete and submit a proposal before February 20.
